SpendAndGive - How does it work?
SpendAndGive works with a small but growing number of charities,
community organisations and individuals to provide them with an
additional source of funding from their existing supporter base. You can
see the charities we currently deal with on our 'Sites' page.
Once we receive a request from a charity we get to work straight
away to produce a branded site for them. This site, while separate from
their main site, will show clearly which charity the site is supporting.
Supporters, once on the site, will have approximately 200 retailers
to select from across a wide range of categories. They can search for
their favourite retailers using the categories or a 'retailers a-z'
menu.
Once they've found the retailer they want to shop with, by clicking
on their name they will be taken to the web site for that retailer, and
purchases made will generate funds for the charity.
Supporters can also generate funds for the charity by using the
search boxes on the site.
The nominated contact at the charity will receive a report on funds
raised, broken down by retailer, for every month where sales have been
reported to SpendAndGive. Payment is made 60 days after the report. This
allows for SpendAndGive itself to receive payment from the retailers.
It's as simple as that really.
Although not entirely unique there are several distinctives which we
believe make SpendAndGive an attractive proposition.
One of the key distinctives is the personal element of the service.
Not only is the web site branded for each charity, there is a single
point of contact for the charity and it's supporters which allows them
to raise any questions they may have about the site or service.
Because each site is reported on separately, there is also the
possibility for any single charity to increase the contribution it
receives from sales via the site in any given month, depending on the
total amount raised.
If you are involved with the running of a charity then do get in
touch with us and we can discuss further what SpendAndGive has to offer.
